As a VDL Sales Representative, on a daily basis you will work to build customer relationships, provide outstanding customer service, close deals and network to build a strong pipeline of future customers.
This role requires ambitious lead generation and proactive daily management of reseller, integrator and partner relationships. You will play an integral role in defining strategies and identifying opportunities for AV solutions using current and emerging technologies, including expansion into lighting and related meeting and training room products and services and developing business areas within retail signage, leisure, hospitality.
Crucial to success in this role:
a demonstrable record of success in selling
a strong work ethic, energy and drive to close the sale and create a customer for life
excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, an expert in conveying the value of our products and services
a current network of UK pro AV resellers (Ireland, an advantage)
an existing relationship with account managers in the larger AV companies, namely those large enough to qualify for large tender projects, as well as the smaller, regional and specialist resellers
a technical knowledge of projection, projection screens and displays
flexible availability including regular national and European travel
a full, clean driving licence

Expert training and mentoring
VDL is led by Greg Jeffreys who has an international reputation in the AV industry, in particular for projection, VC and meeting room lighting, and AV standards. He was President of InfoComm (AVIXA) in 2012 and has an international network of important contacts. Greg will mentor the new hire personally, passing on technical and industry knowledge, and introducing the new hire to his industry colleagues, consultants, AV User Group and clients to help springboard the next level of success for VDL’s new specialist sales consultant
