Key Criteria for Screens and Displays
Size
Use AVIXA’s DISCAS image size standard to specify the right size of screen to ensure optimum viewing from everywhere in the room (no ‘cheap seats’).
Performance
Use AVIXA’s ISCR image quality standard which sets out the minimum requirement as 15:1 image contrast ratio for the Basic Decision Making category that applies here - and ensure the display you choose can achieve this requirement in the specific location and lighting conditions of the room.
Viewer welfare
Screens and displays that are too bright can cause eye-strain and headaches, ensure the display you choose is suitable for comfortable, extended viewing.
Cost
It is an all-too common mistake to assume the best solution is the most expensive solution.
