Premium quality projection screens effectively have indefinite usable lives. And as projectors improve in resolution, systems can be upgraded with 4K, 8K etc projectors without penalty.
The dnp Supernova screens, for example, are 16K ready.
In most cases projectors also have indefinite lifetime, as their 20,000hr maintenance-free life cycle is rarely reached in practice. Where lower resolution projectors are replaced with higher resolution units, the originals can be redeployed to other locations where they can still be useful and enhance another space for free.
