Landmark 8K digital signage shows Giant Toy art
Creative agency d’strict has unveiled its second public artwork on Samsung digital signage in Seoul, South Korea, after generating an 80m x 20m anamorphic wave illusion earlier this year.
Creative agency d’strict, which earlier this year created an 80 metre by 20 metre anamorphic wave illusion on landmark digital signage in South Korea, has produced its second public media art project for the installation, entitled Giant Toy. The 3D imagery in the new artwork conjures up six scenes that might be on the bucket list of a viewer and presents them as if they were toys to be played with.
The public art installation is shown on the 31,000 LED panel, Samsung 8K digital signage installation at the Coex Artium shopping mall. The mall is located in K-Pop Square in the Gangnam district of Seoul.
Announcing the new artwork, the agency said: “In the midst of travelling restrictions and difficulties in leisure activities, we would like to rejuvenate your life with a bucket list full of your long-time wishes. From childhood desires to present-day goals, a total of six different bucket lists are produced into giant toy boxes, revitalising a pure innocence that you’ve salted away for a while. What is on your bucket list?
