Have you read Microsoft's new Meeting room guidance for Teams document?

As part of a series of short articles, Visual Displays' Director Greg Jeffreys discusses all things AV…

In an action-packed ten minutes, Jimmy Vaughan and Mehryn Corrigan, during their weekly fly-by session last Friday (view it here) introduced it.

This document really caught my eye. You can find it here.

My own take on this is that it's about a specialist area within the Teams Room domain ("Enhanced Microsoft Teams Room") as it applies to spaces for up to 6-8 people - and there's some expensive kit involved - not least the ultra-wide format displays (which you will, of course, source from Visual Displays!).

However the principles and practices contained here are essential reading as this is a big step towards a detailed unpacking of the specification of all the key elements, including displays, cameras, audio, lighting etc.

Although the visual elements (displays. lighting. natural light control, surface finishes etc) are the main focus for the Visual Displays Team, the use of AVIXA AV standards remain the starting point from which all good solutions can be developed. The complexities of delivering high-performance displays under normal room lighting remain a challenge that is yet to be generally acknowledged.

The Visual Displays team is here to help you on a standards-based journey to room design and displays excellence.
