What resolution do we need for Microsoft Teams Rooms Front Row displays?

The MTR PC output resolution? The display resolution itself?

What resolution do we need for Microsoft Teams Rooms Front Row displays?

Not only has Microsoft seemingly made the decisive move to 21:9 for Front Row, but our clients have started installing them. Yes, we're shipping! But in a fast changing hybrid workspace world how do get the specification right to handle the inevitable changes coming down the line?

I predict we're going to see some big changes in MTR PCs. Current Front Row output is 2560 x 1080. How room many systems are supporting this now? This is HD pixel density, but in a wider array. Seeing the detail contained in Front Row layout screens - and the move to really large display areas - the move to 4K equivalent pixel density is a surely a question of when, not whether.

And then there's EDIDs... Another time!

Following earlier 32:9 iterations at The Hive, some think 21:9 needs two soft-edge blended projectors. Well the good news is you don't. A 4K UHD (pixel projector) is used along with an external processor to handle the interpolation required now - and to be ready for future increases in MTR PC output resolutions.

Let the Visual Displays team help you get it right! The team is here ready to help you, wherever you are.
