Technology is the lubricant - not the machine
Clients planning Microsoft Teams Rooms and hybrid workspaces report concerns whether they are working ON the room or IN the room. Here’s how.
At a time when the Microsoft Teams environment and their accompanying cohort of certified vendors are making vaulting steps forward, it’s all too tempting for us technophiles to think that tech conquers all.
Wrong!
Technology is the lubricant - not the machine. The machine is the people, the meeting - and what they need to achieve in that space.
Paradoxically, thinking in terms of what the technology can achieve chokes back the potential of workspace performance. Starting with a blank canvas and envisioning what a space might achieve - and assuming the tech exists for you to achieve that - opens new vistas of opportunity for enhanced user experiences.
Good tech can provide poor results in a poorly configured room. Entry level tech can yield superb user experiences in a thoughtfully configured room. So just think what you can achieve in a well configured room with all this lovely product coming down the line!
Start with the end in mind.
I work with my consultancy clients to discover the right results for them, working to tightly-defined and auditable outcomes.
