Teams Rooms screen notifications to aid social distancing
Teams Rooms on Android with cameras that enable people counting will show warnings on front of room displays and on Teams panels outside the room if there are too many people inside.
Microsoft is to add meeting room capacity notifications to Teams Rooms on Android from February 2022, in an update that will help organisations comply with social distancing regulations.
Notifications will appear on the front of room display, alerting in-room meeting participants if the room is over the capacity limit defined in the room account. If the meeting room has a Teams panel deployed outside, an alert will be visible there too.
The meeting room capacity notifications will only be possible in Teams Rooms that have cameras that support people counting.
