What screen size do we need to make a MTR Front Row room layout like this at The Hive?

The drivers for this are quite complex - read on below.

What screen size do we need to make a MTR Front Row room layout like this at The Hive?

Over the last few weeks, client demand for this has been ramping up following Michel Bouman's release of the video that I've screengrabbed below. The Hive's new main Front Row space is headline news in the MTR ecosystem.

OK, so this is complex because we have design drivers that interlock - and sometimes clash. What's the ideal image baseline above the floor now we want that row of remote participants at eye to eye height and with them as close to lifesize as possible? What's the reality check limit of ceiling height?

Remember, we're used to thinking in diagonal inches with 16:9, which are seriously misleading when we move to 21:9. Why?

The constant factor is image height in AVIXA's DISCAS standard - now mission critical in Front Row, when we're trying to have a good height for the remote participants' row - and still have a generous-sized main content window above that.

The graphic below gives an example of how we address this. Visual Displays is supplying designs, screens and complete display solutions for Front Row and all medium/large MTRs and hybrid meeting/teaching spaces.
