The step change upwards in display sizes needed for Teams Rooms - and hybrid workspaces in general - means projection.

Old 'white screen projection' is replaced by new 2022 ALR projection.

The step change upwards in display sizes needed for Teams Rooms - and hybrid workspaces in general - means projection.

This is now mission critical now Microsoft uses projection to deliver Front Row - large screen displays in 21:9 aspect ratio. The bar is set much higher.

Once the AVIXA DISCAS standard's calculations are done and we realise the MINIMUM size needed to deliver content to the back of the room are of an order of magnitude larger than that shiny flat panel on the wall of most spaces, the question is: 'OK, so how do we do it'?

It's Standards 101. It's all there in the new AVIXA ISCR standard, which we’ve proudly let loose on the world. But this sets a deceptively high bar.

Unless you can ruthlessly control ambient light, our only chance is in the use of carefully selected ALR (ambient light rejecting) screen technology.

The example below is the difference between using the old-time white projection screens and new ALR (ambient light rejecting) technologies to deliver standards-compliant displays of the correct luminance (cd/m2), contrast ratio (as specified in AVIXA ISCR standard) and - most important - black levels.

We use advanced calculation tools to help clients achieve exceptional user experiences every day. We help AV consultants and integrators excel - and make the end users love them!

We help you install Teams Room displays that will stand the test of time.
