Microsoft has a lot to thank Cisco for adoption of Front Row displays

Cisco telepresence users already use extended aspect ratios (3 x 16:9 = 48:9!) - but what’s the right screen size (and position) today?

Microsoft has a lot to thank Cisco for adoption of Front Row displays

Now we can have cameras in better positions by using the small form factor cameras of Poly, Huddle etc in free space, this liberates how we can set image baseline above floor level.

Design drivers? Your view of those seated opposite you at the meeting room table is cut off at the torso by the table top. By using a large display, the option to replicate that appearance for remote viewers is added - plus remote participants can appear near lifesize.

Microsoft’s Signature Meeting Room design has liberated room designers by using the large digital canvas of the Front Row screen - a revolution in the design of hybrid spaces that’s here to stay.

Front Row is a screen layout, but by making it in the form of a single, unified Digital Canvas, it future proofs the room. You don’t need a crystal ball to realise that 2023 will see further developments of both Front Row layout options - and user control.

VDL Digital Canvas displays exceed both Microsoft’s requirements and also the relevant AVIXA standards. You can have the perfect display at the perfect size - and at a fraction of the cost of dvLED screens.
