The importance of display size in Microsoft Teams Rooms

A week of learning at ISE 2024 underlined the importance of display size in Microsoft Teams Rooms - but especially Teams Front Row. This video shows why.

The importance of display size in Microsoft Teams Rooms

There were some lovely 105” 21:9 flat panel displays to be seen. And I will use some of them. But only when they are suitable. AVIXA’s DISCAS standard uses image height to specify display size - and the 105” 21:9 panels are only the height of an 85” standard 16:9 panel. They are perfect for up to four person Front Row rooms, but should not be specified for Front Row table sizes larger than four seats.

The launch of the latest 150” version of the VDL Digital Canvas underlined this point, where the remote participants are as close to life-sized as possible - and were rendered in natural colours at natural luminances (‘brightness’). Powered by the new Epson EB-PQ2010B (true 4K UHD) 3LCD laser projectors in combination with the VDL Supernova ALR screens.

Standard 113” and 150” 21:9 and non-standard screens and systems in all sizes and aspect ratios are available right now.
