Microsoft’s The Hive campus shows their move to projection for enhanced hybrid experiences in MTRs. How?
This breaks into two questions.
First. How do we design these projection systems - what are our configuration options?
Secondly, most important, how do we do it in normally lit rooms and with natural light? The short answer is to use ALR (ambient light rejecting) screen technologies. This adds a complex - but essential layer - to the design process.
Your options are:
- Floor mounted UST projection, as per The Hive
- UST projection in self-contained credenza unit
- Conventional ceiling hung projection
- UST projection contained within ceiling or mounted above screen
These are all supplied within the VDL Digital Canvas range. You can choose from all or any of the following:
- Site survey and audits using lab meters and lasers
- Full standards-compliant specification process
- Full 3D CAD design and documentation
- Room layout design
- dnp Supernova 08-85 or STW - ALR (ambient light rejecting) screens
- Curved screen options
- Easy-Erect mounts and structures, as needed
- Projector and lens (or source this yourself)
- Installation & training
Our products are exclusively available through integrators and resellers globally.
The Visual Displays team makes these displays of the future today. We use laboratory meters to audit and troubleshoot existing spaces and to certify new installations.
